According to Saudi Press Agency, improved infrastructure has facilitated travel between the mountainous regions and the coastal plains, boosting winter tourism and stimulating economic activity in the Tihama governorates. Rijal Almaa Governorate, with its unique blend of coastal beauty and mountainous grandeur, stands out as a major draw for visitors. Its strategic location, nestled between the Red Sea and the Sarawat Mountains, offers breathtaking vistas, combining the allure of pristine beaches with the majesty of the mountains.

Muhayil Aseer, another popular destination, boasts a captivating landscape of low-lying plains, volcanic mountains, and verdant valleys. Renowned for its lush greenery and diverse flora, it attracts a significant number of visitors during the winter season. Its historical significance, numerous ancient forts, and vibrant local markets further enhance its appeal. Al Majardah, located 180 kilometers from Abha, has emerged as a sought-after winter destination. Blessed with mild winter weather, fresh air, and stunning natural beauty, it attracts repeat visitors year after year. Its historical significance as a key point on ancient trade routes adds to its allure.

The winter season witnesses a surge in demand for local agricultural and industrial products in these coastal areas. Tihama is renowned for its diverse agricultural produce, including grains, bananas, lemons, sesame, coffee, and aromatic herbs like basil and wormwood. Beekeeping is also a significant economic activity in the region, with honey production being a major contributor to the local economy.
