Arab League Condemns Crimes of Extremist Settlers in West Bank

Cairo: The Arab League has condemned the relentless campaign that armed extremist settlers continue to launch on cities and towns in the West Bank, with the protection of Israeli authorities who encourage these disgraceful operations. In a statement released today, the league stated that the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip should not overshadow the apparent increase in the frequency and severity of violent crimes, including the burning of houses and agricultural lands and the destruction of property committed by armed settlers daily. The league also pointed out that the imposition of sanctions by some countries on several settlers is a belated and inadequate measure to deter the escalating phenomenon and provide protection for Palestinian civilians in the West Bank.
