Arab Cybercrime Officials Convene for Second Meeting in Tunis

Tunis: The second meeting of officials responsible for combating cybercrime in the Arab interior ministries will begin tomorrow at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis. Representatives from the interior ministries of Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, will take part in the meeting, along with delegates from the Arab League, the UNODC Regional Centre for Combating Cybercrime, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, and Naif Arab University for Security Sciences.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting will discuss several key issues, including an Arab plan to address crimes committed using artificial intelligence, a unified model organizational structure for a specialized agency to combat cybercrime in Arab countries, and electronic financial fraud. It will also review the experiences of member states in tackling cybercrime.
