American Pavilion Debuts at Saudi Food Show

Riyadh:The United States hosted its inaugural American Pavilion at the Saudi Food Show, gathering numerous US companies and trade associations to present American food and agricultural products to importers and food industry professionals in Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the pavilion displayed a diverse array of American goods, such as beef, potatoes, rice, grains, fresh produce, nuts, snacks, beverages, and specialty foods. Notable participants included the USA Rice Federation and the US Meat Export Federation.

This significant US presence coincides with notable advancements in agricultural and food trade relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia, highlighted by Saudi Arabia's recent relaxation of export requirements for US beef.

US Consul General Rafik Mansour emphasized the importance of fostering a trading environment rooted in transparency and science-based information to build confidence in food safety. He noted that the Saudi Food Show offers US companies a platform to display their products, reach new customers, and expand their market opportunities in Saudi Arabia. Mansour further endorsed American companies by sampling classic US beef.
