Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has appointed the Saudi Ambassador to Japan, Dr. Ghazi Binzagr, as the General Commissioner for the Kingdom's Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. This comes as construction work on the Kingdom's pavilion enters its final stages in preparation for Saudi Arabia's distinguished participation in the global exhibition, set to commence in April.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Binzagr has served as an extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador for the Kingdom in Japan since 2024. He will continue his duties as ambassador alongside his new responsibilities as the general commissioner. Binzagr holds a bachelor's degree in physics, a master's degree in international relations, and a PhD in management and organization development. He has also served as a member of the Shura Council for three terms and previously held the position of deputy chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee from 2023 to 2024.
In his diplomatic capacity, Binzagr oversees initiatives to boost relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan.
