Sakaka: The Al-Jouf Region Municipality has launched a field awareness campaign distributing more than 5,500 information bags to individuals performing Udhiyah in Sakaka and Suwayr. The initiative is designed to encourage sound practices, enhance public health, and safeguard the environment.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the municipality's official spokesman, Omar Al-Hamwan, stated that the awareness bags initiative for the Udhiyah season is executed with the help of volunteers to support public health and ensure proper sacrificial behavior. The bags include items such as gloves, storage bags for meat, and materials for transporting sacrificial waste, along with awareness booklets offering guidelines on maintaining animal health before and after slaughter.
Omar Al-Hamwan emphasized that this is the third consecutive year the initiative is being carried out, under the supervision of Al-Jouf Mayor Eng. Atef bin Mohammed Al-Sharaan, demonstrating a continued commitment to public health and environmental protection.
