Al-Hussam Park: Unique Design, Tourist Landmark in Heart of Al-Baha

Al-Baha: Stretching across the Sarawat Mountains in Al-Baha Region are breathtaking natural landscapes shaped by divine creation; among the most stunning and captivating of these is Al-Hussam Park, located in the heart of Al-Baha City. Mayor of Al-Baha Region Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat shared details of the park's expansive design and facilities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the total area of Al-Hussam Park spans 160,000 square meters, with green spaces covering 132,264 square meters. The park includes 36 seating areas, 21 shaded structures, 1,400 trees, and 4,000 shrubs. It also features a 1,200-square-meter artificial lake, 500 parking spaces, four children's play areas, 35 restrooms, and a plaza that includes an open-air theater covering some 5,000 square meters with seating for up to 1,000 people. The park also boasts a 1,000-square-meter interactive fountain, two waterfalls each 10 meters high, a 700-meter walking path, and prayer areas for men and women.

Dr. Al-Sawat noted that Al-Hussam Park will host a variety of cultural and artistic events every summer, including traditional performances that reflect the region's heritage, a children's theater offering educational and entertainment activities, and cultural shows representing different communities. The park will also offer giveaways and daily raffles for children and visitors.

Prince Hussam Park stands as one of the key tourist attractions in Al-Baha Region and serves as a recreational destination for residents and visitors alike. It complements the nearby Raghadan Park and adds to the array of parks and gardens scattered across the region and its affiliated governorates.
