Al-Barari Tourist Park, located about 110 km from the city of Jazan and spanning a total area of 6,018,247 square meters, is a key tourist destination and one of the most prominent landmarks in the governorate. It serves as an open-air retreat for citizens, residents, and visitors, thanks to its pristine features and lush forests that combine ancient trees, small shrubs, and wild herbs intertwined among the mountains, creating a breathtaking view that attracts visitors to such alluring wilderness parks. The park attracts many visitors from both within and outside the region who are drawn to its natural charm. It also constitutes a popular tourist destination for many outdoor enthusiasts seeking to enjoy the wilderness, camping, and the pleasant atmosphere surroun ded by nature and its diverse terrain. During its tour of the park, the lens of Saudi Press Agency captured the presence of patrols from the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, who are working on monitoring and documenting the plant species in the park. The patrol members praised the park's natural resources and biodiversity as well as the increase in vegetation cover this year. They also commended the environmental awareness of the visitors and their positive behavior while enjoying the park, which reflects their consciousness in preserving the environment and ensuring its sustainability; thus, contributing to the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative.
