Al-baha: Rural farms in the Al-Baha Region have emerged as a summer tourism destination, attracting visitors in search of tranquility, relaxation, and diverse recreational experiences. Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Al-Baha, Fahd Al-Zahrani, said the region has recently witnessed a notable transformation in its rural sector. He highlighted the branch's key role in supporting and overseeing these farms, which have helped turn the Al-Baha countryside into an appealing tourist destination.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Zahrani noted that there are currently 30 licensed rural farms in the region, with licensing procedures underway for an additional 35. This forms part of a broader plan to reach around 65 licensed farms across Al-Baha's various governorates, ensuring wider geographic coverage throughout the region.
These farms combine agricultural production with tourism experiences, offering traditional rural hospitality alongside the region's distinctive terraced green landscapes, which are among Al-Baha's most recognizable natural features.
