Aseer: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's Aseer branch has launched the Ambassadors of Agriculture initiative, aiming to highlight the region's agricultural potential, showcase model farms, and support the development of the local agricultural sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative seeks to engage volunteers and tourism media enthusiasts through field visits to farms, livestock breeders, and beekeepers across the region. Participants will be involved in voluntary media and organizational activities.
Timed to coincide with the Aseer Summer events, themed "Cooler and Closer" this year, the initiative began with an introductory workshop, followed by field visits to coffee farms near Abha. Participants learned about traditional farming practices and crop processing techniques.
Through this initiative, the ministry aims to enhance community involvement in agricultural development and rural tourism, while also promoting a culture of volunteerism within the agricultural sector.
