Riyadh will host the Saudi Society of Medical Genetics (SSMG) 2023 conference over a three-day span starting September 28.
The SSMG President, Professor Amal Al-Hashem, described the conference as one of the most important scientific conferences in genetic medicine locally and globally and said it aligns with Saudi efforts to support all aspects of serving citizens and bolster health efforts of SSMG in sustaining levels of health awareness to confront genetic diseases.
The conference will see the participation of more than 20 speakers with national and international expertise from whom the SSMG considers reliable resources in achieving a scientific shift in genetic medicine services in the Kingdom, said SSMG official spokesman Professor Zuhair bin Abdullah Rahbini.
He added that the conference targets doctors in the fields of pediatrics, genetics, and metabolism, and genetic researchers, laboratory technicians, genetic counselors, and those interested in the same specialty from other fields of medicine.
