3rd ASEAN Conference Concludes 1st Day with Session on Saudi Arabia’s Efforts in Promoting Moderation, Combating Extremism

Thailand: The third international ASEAN conference, titled "Khair Ummah", held in the Kingdom of Thailand and organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, concluded its fourth session on the first day under the theme, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Moderation and Tolerance Approach.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the session was chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Fraih of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. Discussions during the session addressed several key topics, including the dangers of extremism, Saudi Arabia's efforts in countering radicalism, its role in safeguarding global security and stability, its support for Muslims worldwide, and its programs and global initiatives promoting moderation.

Participants in the session included professors, imams, and preachers from various institutions, such as Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Miranda Mosque in the Philippines, the Ministry of Religions and Denominations in Cambodia, and Muhammadiyah Mosque at Ho Chi Minh National University in Vietnam.
