Jeddah:As many as 350 Saudi volunteers are currently offering organizational and operational support for the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, underway in Jeddah. These volunteers are assisting teams across various tournament venues and are involved in multiple aspects of the competition.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the volunteers are deployed in areas such as spectator services, crowd management, media, ceremonies, transportation, and operations. Their responsibilities include helping fans, national teams, media personnel, and tournament guests at stadiums and other related sites.
Before the event commenced, the volunteers underwent specialized training and qualification programs. These programs were designed to familiarize them with their roles, responsibilities, and operational procedures, standardizing workflows to enhance their readiness for the event's demands.
The volunteers play a crucial role in the daily operations of the Arabian Gulf Cup, supporting activities at stadium entrances, reception points, media areas, and other essential locations. They collaborate with organizing teams throughout the matches, providing assistance and executing a range of operational tasks.
This volunteer initiative is part of the local organizing committee's efforts to utilize national talent and offer young Saudi men and women opportunities to gain practical experience and develop valuable skills in organizing and managing major sporting events hosted by Saudi Arabia.
