Riyadh: The National Competitiveness Center's (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 28 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with 12 government bodies, the NCC invites the general public, government entities, and the private sector to express their views and feedback on projects prior to their approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, key projects presented on the platform include a project titled 'Regulations on Violations and Penalties in Infrastructure Projects,' developed by the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center. The project aims to strengthen regulations, laws, and guidelines governing infrastructure work. Public feedback on the proposal can be submitted via the Istitlaa platform until July 22, 2025.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing is seeking public feedback on two projects: a new executive regulation titled 'Executive Regulation of the Idle Land Fees Law' and a proposed regulatory framework titled 'Site Requirements for Mobile Street Vendors'. These projects seek to enhance standards for addressing visual clutter, regulate street vending, and optimize fees for idle land to stimulate the real estate market. Public consultation on these projects will remain open until July 23 and 25, 2025.

The introduction of draft regulations, by-laws, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform serves as an affirmation of enhanced transparency in the legislative environment. Istitlaa fosters a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their insights and feedback on proposed regulations related to the business environment.
