Riyadh: The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has initiated the third phase of its training program for the National Data Index (NDI), involving 146 government entities. The program, which extends until October 2, seeks to enable government agencies to efficiently complete the third measurement cycle of the NDI.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the training is tailored to enhance the knowledge of government employees about the NDI and to furnish specialists with vital skills in data management, governance, and personal data protection. This initiative is in alignment with Saudi Arabia's regulatory frameworks and aims to give participants a thorough understanding of the index's components. These components include the Maturity of the Data Management (DM), compliance with national data management standards, and Operational Excellence (OE). Participants are also introduced to the key documents that facilitate the evaluation process.
The NDI training program is an integral part of SDAIA's ongoing mission to develop national capabilities and arm professionals with tools oriented towards the future, thereby contributing to the realization of the Saudi Vision 2030 goals. This effort also bolsters the Kingdom's standing as a leading global hub for data management and artificial intelligence practices.
SDAIA functions as the Kingdom's competent authority on matters of data, including big data, and artificial intelligence, acting as the national reference for organizing, developing, and managing these fields.
