Beirut, The Israeli Occupation forces renewed shelling operations, on Monday, on south Lebanon targeting the towns of Al Dhahirah, Al Bustan, and Birkat Risha, with the reconnaissance aircraft hovering intensively over the region. Moreover, Israel has intensively fired multiple artillery shells into Yarin town as well.
Meanwhile, Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati affirmed that the Lebanese government continues its communications, at home and abroad, to maintain a calm situation inside Lebanon, as far as possible, and protect Lebanon from the war consequences, stressing that Lebanon is on the heart of the storm, with the entire region facing a challenging situation, and nobody can speculate what could happen in the future.
Mikati accused the Israeli entity of seeking to escalate its provocations, adding that what is required is to deter the Israeli entity and halt its provocations in order to defuse tensions.
So far, the Lebanese army has declared its plans to continue maintaining its full alert and take essential measures across the border lines in the south of Lebanon, at a time the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) warned that the persistent escalation in the south of Lebanon could lead to further tribulation.
