Riyadh: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on commercial establishments subject to value-added tax (VAT) and whose annual revenues on goods and services exceed SAR40 million to submit VAT statements for January 2025 by February 28, 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, ZATCA urged these establishments to promptly submit their tax statements via the zatca.gov.sa website or through the ZATCA smartphone application to avoid penalties ranging from a minimum of 5% to a maximum of 25% of the tax value owed.
The authority urged taxpayers in the commercial sector seeking additional information on VAT to contact its 24/7 call center at 19993, reach out through its X account @Zatca_Care, send an email to [email protected], or use the instant chat feature available on its website, zatca.gov.sa.
VAT is an indirect tax imposed on most goods and services purchased and sold by establishments, with certain exceptions.
