ZATCA Launches Expression of Interest, RFQ Phase for Customs Warehouses

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), in collaboration with the National Center for Privatization (NCP), announced the beginning of the expression of interest (EOI) and requests for qualifications (RFQs) phase for the project of developing and operating customs warehouses at ports and land crossings. The project aims to enhance the Kingdom's position as a global logistics hub, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. ZATCA stated that the project will be implemented at 38 border ports and crossings in partnership with the private sector through a contract model covering design, construction, financing, operation, maintenance, and transportation over a 15-year contract period, including the construction phase. The scope of work within the project includes the design and construction of 12 new warehouses and the renovation of one existing warehouse at 13 ports and crossings across the Kingdom. Additionally, the project encompasses maintenance for 13 facilities associated with the warehouses , providing equipment for the new and existing warehouses, as well as offering logistical support and cleaning services for all the new and existing warehouses. ZATCA and the NCP invited investors to obtain the RFQ document, containing project information, by visiting the NCP website (www.ncp.gov.sa).
