ZATCA Foils Two Smuggling Attempts, Seizes over 800,000 Narcotic Pills at Al-Batha Crossing

Riyadh: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at Al-Batha border crossing successfully thwarted two attempts to smuggle a total of 817,733 narcotic pills hidden in two trucks.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in the first attempt, ZATCA seized 797,647 Captagon pills concealed inside the rear tire of a truck and foiled a second attempt that led to the discovery of 20,086 narcotic pills hidden in various parts of another truck.

ZATCA reiterated its commitment to tightening customs control on all imports and exports to protect society from such illicit items.
