In the day's headline match, world number one Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus advanced by eliminating the defending champion, American Coco Gauff, also in straight sets. The doubles action in the Liezel Huber Group concluded with two notable victories. The pair of Brazilian Luisa Stefani and Hungarian Timea Babos secured a hard-fought, three-set victory over the Canadian-New Zealander duo Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe. Czech Katerina Siniakova and American Taylor Townsend defeated Russians Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider in straight sets.
