Wrth Handicrafts Camp continues its activities that aim at teaching and raising awareness about traditional Saudi arts. Forty-nine young men and women from various regions of the Kingdom take part in the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts-organized Wrth camp, held as part of the Madinah Dates Season. The camp, held at a farm in Madinah for 28 days, teaches recycling palm waste as a way to preserve the environment and ensure sustainability. Participants create such as baskets, mats, hand fans, and Quran dividers from palm leaves, as well as artworks from gypsum. They seek to help carry out the camp's key plans, including constructing a new mosque facade and roof using traditional palm fronds, and artistic products from woven palm leaves. The goal of the camp is to involve the local community in building landmarks in Madinah, to present the beauty of traditional arts, revive them, and provide an opportunity for artists to share their creativity with the public while helping national talent refine its arti stic skills. The camp's activities, which began on September 19 and will continue until October 14, include workshops and theoretical and practical lectures on traditional arts, as well as cultural tours and entertainment events, carried out under the supervision and guidance of experts from the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts, Wrth.
