Saint-Germain achieved its second victory this season, after winning 4-1 against host Le Havre at the beginning of its journey in the league, while Montpellier suffered its first defeat, after drawing 1-1 in the opening round of the season against Strasbourg. Paris took the lead in the fourth minute through Bradley Barcola, before Marco Asensio added the second goal in the 24th minute. In the 53rd minute, Barcola returned to add his second goal and the third for his team, while Achraf Hakimi scored the fourth goal five minutes later.
