Doha, August 09 (QNA) – World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Thursday named 25 finalists from the nominations received for the WISE Awards earlier this summer. The selection panel chose four projects each from Canada and the US, three from India, two from Ireland, one each from Argentina, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Chile, China, Denmark, Ghana, Kenya, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Zimbabwe, WISE said today.
Next month, six of these 25 finalists will be announced as winners of the WISE Award and will be presented at the annual WISE Summit to be held in Doha from November 13 to 15 later this year. Each project winner will receive $20,000.
In its fourth year, WISE Awards recognise and encourage innovative educational projects from the world which impact the society. (QNA)
