The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced its readiness to launch the second round of polio vaccination in the Gaza Strip, scheduled to take place from October 14 to 29. WHO teams are already on the ground in Gaza to conduct the vaccination campaign, which will also include administering a dose of Vitamin A to boost children's immunity. The round aims to vaccinate 590,000 children under the age of ten with the oral polio vaccine. The WHO has notified the Israeli occupation authorities of the planned campaign date and is scheduled to meet with them on Sunday to seek approval. Source: Saudi Press Agency
