The World Health Organization (WHO) has articulated significant concern for the safety of patients and healthcare personnel in Gaza amidst the intensification of hostilities and the ongoing evacuation directives affecting the Kamal Adwan, Indonesian and Al-Awda hospitals in northern Gaza. The WHO urged the implementation of all feasible steps to safeguard civilians and healthcare, including patients, healthcare professionals, medical facilities, and ambulances. WHO representative in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Dr. Richard Peppercorn, said that the Palestinian Ministry of Health requested WHO's assistance in evacuating severely ill patients from these facilities, and the organisation promptly devised a strategy to execute these responsibilities.
