The World Food Programme (WFP) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said on Tuesday that humanitarian needs in Lebanon are "increasing" amid the Israeli escalation that displaced hundreds of thousands of people, calling for additional funding for relief aid. "We are preparing for the reality that the needs are increasing," UNICEF deputy executive director Ted Chaiban and WFP deputy executive director Carl Skau said in a joint statement, adding: "We need additional funding, without conditions."
