Riyadh: Collective action platform Wave, powered by the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute, announced that its data platform Ocean Central has won a trophy in the annual Webby Awards that recognize the best of the internet. Ocean Central, developed by Ode Partners, won the Webby People's Voice Award in the Websites and Mobile Sites, Sustainability and Environment category, reflecting its efforts to track and advance Wave's goal of ocean regeneration within a human generation. According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Ambassador to the United States, FII Institute Board of Trustees Member, and Founder of Wave Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan expressed delight over the recognition of their work on Ocean Central. She emphasized the importance of acting on dependable data to achieve ocean regeneration within a human generation and highlighted the potential of Ocean Central in offering a roadmap to protect and restore marine ecosystems. Ocean Central employs an unprecedented depth of data, geospatial visualizations, and contextual information to track ocean health. It provides actionable insights for positive interventions, aligning with Wave's mission to advance ocean health globally.
