Riyadh: Vice Minister of Culture Hamed Fayez met with Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Yasunari Morino at the Ministry of Culture to discuss the strong cultural ties between the two nations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Fayez expressed his gratitude to the Japanese side for their support of the Kingdom during its participation in Expo 2025 Osaka. He also voiced anticipation for Japan's participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh.
The two officials reviewed the development of cultural exchange between the Kingdom and Japan across various fields. This includes the Manga Hokusai Manga exhibition held earlier this year at the Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art and the Saudi Cultural Week organized in July at the Expo 2025 Osaka headquarters. These events marked the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
