Vice Minister Discusses Advanced Manufacturing Initiatives at PIF Forum

Riyadh: Industry and Mineral Resources Vice Minister for Industrial Affairs Eng. Khalil bin Salamah participated in a panel discussion titled 'The Role of Government Entities in Enabling the Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Ecosystem,' held as part of the fourth edition of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Private Sector Forum in Riyadh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the session, Eng. Khalil outlined the Kingdom's vision to enable industrial transformation and accelerate the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies across industrial facilities. He highlighted key initiatives and enablers provided by the industry ecosystem to stimulate innovation in the industrial sector. These initiatives aim to support national factories in adopting the latest smart manufacturing solutions, thereby enhancing production efficiency, business sustainability, and regional and global competitiveness.

He also pointed to ongoing efforts by the ministry and relevant government entities to build an integrated environment for advanced manufacturing. These efforts include developing regulatory and legislative frameworks that reduce investment risks and providing advanced industrial and technological infrastructure. Additionally, there is a focus on stimulating demand for advanced technologies and linking them to local content, as well as strengthening the innovation ecosystem by supporting research and development and protecting intellectual property rights.
