Riyadh: On behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji took part in the joint ministerial meeting between the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the United Kingdom. The session, chaired by Bahrain's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, was conducted via videoconference.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting participants addressed ongoing Iranian attacks targeting the Gulf states and discussed strategies to counter these threats to safeguard regional security and protect both citizens and residents. The meeting also covered the latest regional escalations and the initiatives being taken to manage these issues.
The session witnessed the participation of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi and Faisal bin Saeed, Director of the Gulf Cooperation Council Department.
