Vegetation Cover Center Announces Investment Opportunity in Wild Thyme Cultivation

Northern borders region: The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) announced the launch of a promising investment opportunity for wild thyme cultivation in Northern Borders Region, covering an area of 1 million square meters.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative aims to enhance the sustainability of natural vegetation cover, propagate local species, and boost production to achieve self-sufficiency, while also contributing to the local economy and creating new investment opportunities that add value to national agricultural products.

The center indicated that the designated investment sites include natural areas rich in resources and suitable for cultivating and propagating wild thyme.

The center stressed that this step is part of its strategic plans to achieve environmental and economic sustainability through optimal use of natural resources and by providing an enabling investment environment that enhances the efficiency of the agricultural sector and supports biodiversity in the Kingdom.
