Gaza: The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, has criticized the Israeli occupation authorities for preventing international journalists from entering the Gaza Strip, labeling it a "ban on conveying the truth." He emphasized that this restriction has been in place since the beginning of the aggression and is unprecedented in any other conflict in modern history.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Lazzarini highlighted that the actions taken by the occupation authorities towards journalists, particularly those from international media, are contributing to "the perfect recipe for fueling media disinformation, deepening polarization, and obscuring humanity." He urged for the lifting of the ban, advocating for international journalists to be allowed to work independently and cover news from within the Gaza Strip, while also supporting their Palestinian colleagues who continue to report under challenging circumstances.
