The United Nations Agency for Children (UNICEF) called today for an immediate halt to the Israeli bombardment of one million children living in the agony of attacks in the Gaza Strip. James Elder, Spokesperson for the United Nations Children's Fund, said in a press statement, "The daily Israeli airstrikes on Palestinian children have terrifying and horrific effects on them, as they live in torn tents without food, water, sanitation, or electricity, and are deprived of humanitarian aid, medical care, medicines, and education." He added that some of them have had their limbs amputated due to Israeli relentless bombing and have been forced to walk on foot to what are called "safe zones," where they are bombed again and lose their loved ones in this seemingly ceaseless conflict Source: Saudi Press Agency
