Riyadh: Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz attended the closing ceremony of the eighth International Show for the Beauty of Purebred Arabian Horses in Riyadh today. Upon his arrival at the venue, the governor was received by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the High Commission for Equestrian Clubs and the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia Prince Bandar bin Khalid bin Faisal and Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the owners of the winning horses received their awards from the governor, amid a large turnout of breeders and enthusiasts. Prince Faisal also received a commemorative gift from the King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center, presented by the center’s chairman, Minister Alfadley.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the governor honored the government entities, sponsoring companies, and participants in the eighth edition of the show. The eighth International Show for the Beauty of Purebred Arabian Horses kicked off on Tuesday, December 9, featuring the highest level of participation from various countries and a record 844 purebred Arabian horses. The event also included accompanying programs highlighting the beauty, history, and rich heritage of Arabian horses, in accordance with the highest internationally approved standards.
