Riyadh: The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States (UNA) held today the fourth session of its financial and administrative committee: The session reviewed the Director-General's financial report, the 2025 budget and final accounts, and approved the Union's proposed estimated budget for 2026, ahead of submitting it to the upcoming session of the Executive Council and the General Assembly.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting was a critical step in ensuring that the financial and administrative matters of the UNA are addressed efficiently. The session focused on evaluating the current financial standing and planning for future fiscal periods, emphasizing transparency and accountability in financial practices.
The approved budget for 2026 is set to be presented at the next session of the Executive Council and the General Assembly, where it will undergo further scrutiny.
