Makkah: The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) celebrated the historic Charter of Building Bridges Between Islamic Schools of Thought and Sects during its Ramadan forum in Jeddah, attended by scholars, thinkers, and international media representatives. Addressing the forum, Muslim World League Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa highlighted the scholarly consensus surrounding the charter, which was first issued in Makkah in 1445 AH.
According to Saudi Press Agency, UNA Director General Mohammed Al-Yami affirmed that the forum aims to establish the charter as a roadmap for responsible media discourse regarding doctrinal diversity. He noted that the charter serves as a comprehensive reference for Islamic media to strengthen solidarity, unify the Muslim community, and consolidate the values of moderation and rapprochement across the Islamic world.
