Riyadh: United Nations spokesperson St©phane Dujarric welcomed the call by Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi to convene a Southern Dialogue Conference in Riyadh.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Dujarric stated that the United Nations is closely following recent developments in eastern and southern Yemen, affirming the organization's support for resolving differences through dialogue.
He noted that the UN special envoy for Yemen continues his direct engagement with all relevant Yemeni and regional parties, reiterating the United Nations' commitment to supporting Yemenis in reaching a comprehensive and sustainable negotiated political settlement to end the conflict in Yemen.
