Riyadh: United Nations Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres reaffirmed that the two-state solution remains the only credible path to achieving a just and lasting peace, describing it as an essential condition for peace across the broader Middle East.
According to Saudi Press Agency, speaking at the opening session of the ministerial session of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, Guterres expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for co-chairing the meeting alongside the French Republic.
He urged the international community to intensify efforts toward realizing the two-state solution, emphasizing that the conference represents an opportunity to move forward toward ending the occupation and achieving lasting peace in the region. He stressed that the two-state solution is the only framework rooted in international law and backed by the international community.
