Umm Al-Qura University Enhances Pilgrim Support during Ramadan

Makkah: During Ramadan, Umm Al-Qura University enhanced services for pilgrims through research, volunteer work, and training, improving visitor experiences and supporting the Saudi Vision 2030.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research conducted six field studies on transportation, crowd management, urban planning, and visitor experience to optimize traffic flow in busy areas.

A total of 2,591 volunteers contributed 54,850 hours in health, security, guidance, and awareness activities across Makkah, in cooperation with multiple organizations.

The university also launched 23 training programs for frontline workers during the Hajj season to boost preparedness and service quality.
