Umm Al-Qura University and Ministry of Hajj Launch Second Hackathon to Enhance Holy Sites

Umm al-qura: Umm Al-Qura University has launched the second edition of a hackathon focused on humanizing and enhancing the holy sites, in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. This competitive event brings together engineers, designers, and specialists to develop innovative engineering and technological solutions that enhance the humanization of the holy sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative encourages participants to develop practical solutions for specific challenges in the field while showcasing the talents of young people and motivating them to creatively contribute to the urban development of Makkah and the holy sites. The hackathon seeks to enable young national talent to translate their pioneering ideas into actionable solutions.

This effort reflects the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which include improving the experience of pilgrims while advancing sustainable development in Makkah and the holy sites.
