Riyadh: U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright expressed his gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz for their continued support in enhancing energy cooperation between the United States and Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Wright, during his official visit to the Kingdom, spoke to the media at the Ministry of Energy headquarters. He detailed the discussions on energy collaboration, focusing on areas such as investment, trade, and energy security. These discussions covered comprehensive cooperation across major energy sources, including renewable energies like green hydrogen and solar energy. Wright emphasized the importance of long-term energy investments to meet the rising global demand.
Wright also commented on U.S. economic policies under President Donald J. Trump, noting their emphasis on fair trade and job creation within the U.S. through strategic tariffs and domestic investment promotion. He highlighted the need for sustainable oil prices to support investments in essential minerals.
Particularly, Wright commended Saudi Arabia's solar energy resources and its strategic approach to energy development.
