U.S. President Welcomes HRH the Crown Prince to White House, Both Leaders Chair Summit

Washington: President Donald Trump of the United States of America received His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today at the White House in Washington, D.C. According to Saudi Press Agency, an official reception ceremony was held for HRH the Crown Prince, complete with a cavalry escort for his motorcade upon arrival. This was followed by a review of the honor guard, a performance by a military band, and the firing of 19 artillery rounds in welcome. Commemorative photographs were taken at the entrance of the White House as part of the ceremony. HRH the Crown Prince, alongside the U.S. president, witnessed an aerial military display featuring a formation of fighter jets flying over Washington, D.C., to mark his arrival. Following the reception, President Trump guided HRH the Crown Prince on a tour of the White House. The Saudi-U.S. summit, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince and President Trump, followed the tour. During the summit, discussions f ocused on bilateral relations, joint efforts to enhance the strategic partnership across various fields, and a review of regional and international developments. The leaders explored ways to strengthen security and stability both regionally and globally, and addressed several issues of mutual interest. At the summit's conclusion, HRH the Crown Prince and the U.S. president signed a strategic defense agreement. Additional bilateral agreements and memoranda were also signed, covering a range of topics including artificial intelligence, cooperation in civil nuclear energy, securing supply chains, accelerating Saudi investments, economic partnerships, financial markets cooperation, education and training, and vehicle safety standards. The Saudi delegation at the summit included several key figures such as Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, among others. The U.S. delegation consisted of Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, among other prominent officials.
