Tuwaiq Academy opens registration for (Metaverse) camps

Tuwaiq Academy has announced the opening of registration for the Metaverse Academy camps, which will begin on May 21, 2023, and last for eight months at the academy’s headquarters in Riyadh. These will be the first camps of their kind in the Middle East and North Africa, held in partnership with MITA Company. The program aims to enhance the concept of Metaverse and its applications, providing trainees with the necessary skills to build and develop Metaverse systems.

The camps will consist of several tracks designed to introduce the concept of Metaverse and qualify trainees to discover augmented reality and virtual reality technologies and their applications. They will be trained in building augmented reality using Meta Spark and equipped with the necessary technologies in augmented and virtual reality required in the labour market. Jawal Awwad, Director of Public Policy Programs for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey at Meta, stressed the importance of cooperation with partners in Saudi Arabia and the region to accelerate efforts to develop a comprehensive and integrated regional system for Metaverses. Awwad emphasized the significance of entering into a partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, calling on all those interested in joining the Metaverse Academy to register and help shape the communities of the next generation of Metaverse creators, developers, and builders.

Abdulaziz Al-Hammadi, the CEO of Tuwaiq Academy, stated that the academy is working to activate partnerships with major international companies and advanced entities to qualify national human resources with the latest international expertise. This initiative will bridge the gap between the development of modern technologies and the requirements of the labour market.
