Jeddah: Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser reviewed the readiness of the transport and logistics sector for the 1446 AH Hajj season yesterday in Jeddah, following earlier inspection tours in Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites.
According to Saudi Press Agency, at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Al-Jasser inspected the Hajj terminal complex and the Saudia Airlines operations building, assessing preparations to handle over 7,000 pilgrim flights and ensure efficient passenger flow. He also toured the complex's media center, which supports press coverage throughout the Hajj season.
Al-Jasser then toured the Jeddah Islamic Port, inspecting the Saudi Ports Authority's (Mawani) operations and its efforts to receive pilgrims arriving by sea. He reviewed the readiness of arrival and departure halls, which are equipped with 100 passport counters, 300 luggage carts, a health monitoring center providing vaccinations and medical services, and specialized equipment to assist the elderly and individuals with medical needs.
