Minister of Transport Wissam Tahtamouni met with Chilean Ambassador to Jordan Jorge Tagle on Tuesday to discuss strengthening cooperation between Jordan and Chile in various transportation sectors. During the meeting, Tahtamouni highlighted the strong relations between the two countries and emphasized the importance of expanding collaboration to benefit both nations. The discussions included a draft memorandum of understanding aimed at mutual recognition of maritime certificates and enhancing maritime cooperation. Tahtamouni stressed that this agreement would be instrumental in deepening economic and maritime ties between Jordan and Chile. Tagle underscored the depth of bilateral relations and announced that the Chilean Minister of Transport plans to visit Jordan to explore further cooperation, including insights into the Aqaba Special Economic Zone. The possibility of establishing direct airline routes between the two countries was also considered, aiming to serve the large Arab community in Chile and st rengthen connections between Jordan and Chile.
