Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced today, according to a statistical bulletin, that more than 884,000 passengers traveled using intercity buses between the Kingdom’s cities and governorates during the fourth quarter of 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in its quarterly statistical bulletin, TGA stated that the total number of trips operated in the intercity bus transport activity during the same period exceeded 43,200 trips across all regions of the Kingdom, affirming that these results reflect the growing reliance on this mode of transport as a convenient travel option.
It noted that Makkah Region topped the list of regions with the highest number of traveling passengers, with 259,600 passengers, followed by Riyadh Region with 198,400 passengers, and Eastern Region with 132,600 passengers. Madinah Region recorded 61,500 passengers, while Aseer Region registered 55,400 passengers, with the remaining figures distributed across the various regions and governorates of the Kingdom.
