Transport Authority Reviews Ramadan, Eid Readiness with Parcel, E-Commerce Companies

Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) held a virtual meeting with parcel delivery companies and e-commerce platforms, chaired by TGA acting President Dr. Rumaih Al-Rumaih. The meeting forms part of TGA's efforts to raise operational readiness and strengthen early preparedness for the Ramadan season and Eid Al-Fitr, ensuring service continuity and stability during peak periods.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting aimed to enhance coordination among all relevant stakeholders and improve operational integration amid the rapid growth in demand for shipping services, underscoring the heightened importance of proactive planning and improved operations management.

The discussions reviewed several operational topics, including improving the quality of logistics services, increasing the efficiency of order management during peak periods, and strengthening compliance with performance indicators. Key operational challenges were also discussed, along with ways to address them to ensure service sustainability and reduce operational volatility.

The meeting further highlighted the importance of adhering to the National Address system for shipments, given its direct impact on improving shipping efficiency, reducing waiting times, and minimizing unnecessary communication between company couriers and beneficiaries, enhancing the customer experience and overall operational efficiency.
