Transport Authority Releases Complaints-Based Performance Index for Parcel Deliverers

General

Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced that Saudi Arabia's parcel-delivery sector delivered more than 63 million shipments in the first quarter of 2025, reflecting sustained growth in logistics services and rising e-commerce demand.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in its quarterly report on transportation services, the TGA revealed that the performance benchmark for delivery companies-measured by escalated complaints per 100,000 parcels-varied significantly. Leading in customer satisfaction, J and T Express, GFS Express, and RedBox recorded the fewest complaints, three each; Naqel Express had four. DHL and iMile had six each, while SMSA and Saudi Post (SPL) reported seven apiece. Aramex received 10 complaints, whereas UPS had 17, StarLinks 23, and Ajex 29. FedEx ranked worst, with 1,682 complaints.

The TGA clarified that escalated complaints are those unresolved by companies within the mandated period. Customers must first contact the delivery provider; if their issue remains unresolved, the TGA intervenes via its hotline at 19929 to enforce compliance and improve service standards.
