Traffic Department: Use of Mobile Phones while Driving Is Main Cause of Traffic Accidents in Madinah Region.

Madinah: The General Department of Traffic has revealed the top three causes of traffic accidents in the Madinah Region in 2023. According to Saudi Press Agency, the use of handheld mobile devices while operating vehicles ranked as the leading cause of traffic accidents in the region, followed by sudden lane changes and failing to maintain a safe distance between vehicles. The department urged all motorists in the Kingdom to comply with traffic laws and road safety regulations.
