Traditional Women’s Handicrafts and Trades Shine at Ramadan Nights in Al-Baha

Al-baha: Traditional women's handicrafts and trades have become a highlight of the Ramadan Nights events in Al-Baha and its surrounding governorates. Visitors can enjoy demonstrations of artisanal handicrafts, local cuisine, and the use of natural materials and simple tools, showcasing the region's rich cultural heritage. Women actively preserve this heritage by participating in events throughout the year, particularly during Ramadan, as they engage in traditional crafts and trades that provide a reliable source of income and offer insights into their ancestors' history.

According to Saudi Press Agency, featured crafts include Sadu weaving, textile work, traditional women's clothing and costumes, and the preparation of authentic dishes. Al-Baha Municipality is organizing the 'Basta Khair' initiative for the second consecutive Ramadan season, reporting that the initiative has benefited over 300 individuals, while visitor numbers exceeded 6,000 during the first week.
